At Drummond, we are uncompromising in our dedication to detail, from start to finish.

Matting & Fitting
Our mats are expertly cut by hand from museum-quality, 100% cotton fiber boards. Conservation informs all our processes—we were among the first frame shops to exclusively use rice-paper hinges for mounting works on paper—and protecting your artwork remains our highest priority.
Woodworking & Finishing
Wood—much of it milled right here in our shop—is cut and joined to build each frame to your specifications. All our hardwood frames are made with “closed corners” and are of museum quality. We do our own painted and stained finishes in-house, as well as traditional water-gilding, using centuries-old methods and materials.

Custom Materials
Welded aluminum frames, acrylic box frames, traditional period frames… Let us know what you’re looking for and we can create it. For specific projects, we’ll also call on trusted outside fabricators. In addition, we offer specialty glazing: Tru Vue Optium Acrylic, Schott Amiran Glass, Acrylite UV Filtering Acrylic, and many other brands.
